I wanted to share this picture - my friend took it for me a little while ago. For a long time I have found this pose challenging to do and I'm so happy that I'm now getting to a place where this is an easy pose to hold. The trick is to make sure you approach any new pose or any mat-time with ease. By that I mean that its not about the grunt work, or pushing yourself to your limits - but about taking your time, doing it calmly and most importantly finding time to breathe.
As with any pose you can hurt yourself considerably if you push it too much, and weirdly you will go faster, quicker if you do a little bit at a time.
If you've mastered the normal 'crow pose' then this one is a relatively easy transition to make.
I am working on other poses at the moment which I'm very excited about since they are challenging to me but I'm approaching it like a fun game :) So watch this space for progress for other poses too!
